Jericho Students Create On-Line Magazine
While most students are worrying about their social lives and extracurricular activities, Jericho residents Nina Ukpabi and Alison Warren are writing about them. The two ninth graders at Jericho High School started an on-line teen publication called Tres Chic Magazine which can be found at www.treschicmag.com.

Jericho Girls 5/6 Softball
The Yankees evened their record to 1-1 with a well-played 12 to 9 victory over the Angels at Jericho High School on Saturday, April 8. The Yankees were led by Rachel Klinghoffer who pitched a strong game, striking out seven while only giving up one walk. Klinghoffer also keyed the offense, going 3 for 4 with 3 doubles in the leadoff spot. Felicia Machover, batting clean-up, went 3 for 3 with a walk and 4 RBI's. Melanie Friedlander got her first hit of the year, a triple to right center that drove in a run.

Fifth and Sixth Grade Boys Baseball
The Hanson Place Dental Mets improved their record to two wins and one loss by defeating the Gaines Berland Pirates 4-3. The Mets received a clutch pitching and hitting performance from William Coyle to overcome a great pitching effort from Scott Weinberger of the Pirates. Coyle gave up eight hits and struck out 10 Pirates in winning his second game of the season while Weinberger was his equal, giving up only five hits and striking out nine Mets.
