The Syosset Storm, a fifth grade travel basketball team in Syosset, just ended a sensational season this Sunday March 26. The team, which competes in the Superleague at the Island Garden in West Hempstead, is coached by Donald Helfman and Mitch Rosen.

After starting the season with a one and three record, they rebounded to finish nine and four.

The team soared during the elimination rounds of the playoffs and made it to the final game. They lost to an undefeated St. Rose team in the final round.

"It was such a big accomplishment for us to make it to the finals," said Helfman. "So many towns participate in this league and we made it."

This is the second season that Helfman and Rosen have been coaching this team.
