Jericho High School Student Wins $10,000 in Duracell Competition
Bari Spielfogel, 15, of Jericho High School, recently won a second-place spot in the Duracell/National Science Teachers Association Invention Challenge. Spielfogel, a sophomore, earned a $10,000 savings bond for her invention, the Busguard.

Landmark Commission Makes Recommendation to Town
The Landmark Commission voted last week to recommend to the Town Board that the house located at 555 Jericho Turnpike, known as the Ketchum/Underhill Property, be designated a landmark. Although two applications were submitted, the commission approved only one - The property and barn, at the same location, were not included in the recommendation.

Introducing the Jericho Youth Football League
In Jericho, there are several sports for youngsters to participate in before they reach the high school level and until now football was not one of them. Jericho residents Steve Brett and Jeff Fauk co-founded the Jericho Youth Football League which kicks off its opening season this September.
