Teams of student athletes from New York State Public High School Athletic Association member schools are honored each year for achieving outstanding academic results during their sports season. This year one 1999-2000 Jericho fall season team received recognition on a statewide level for excellence in scholastic performance.

The 1999-2000 Jericho High School Girls Varsity Swimming Team earned second-place honors on a statewide level for excellence in scholastic performance.

The Girls Varsity Swimming Team, coached by Heidi Kamvakis, had a combined team, grade-point average of 97.097 to earn them the second-place spot in this annual state competition. Team members include Jolie Harris, Dyana Kazan, Jaime Openden, Rachel Bachrach, Caryn Fellows, Gloria Ha, Nicole Kahner, Rebecca Lada, Christine Petrucello, Madeleine Siegel, Stefanie Sinn, Lisa Teig, Adi Weiss, Rachel Anscher, Ashley Ganin, Jennifer Goodman, Adina Herman, Julie Kim, Carolyn Klein, Joanna Su, Lara Tepper, Emil Wisniewski, Jennifer Besserman, Katherine Blizzard, Heidi Cha, Blaire Fellows, Michelle Kim, Amanda Leung, Rachel Silane, Debora Wassel, Amanda Weingarten, Sabrina Weingarten and Lindsey Sanders. Jericho students take pride in their achievements on and off the playing fields. Logo
