School Charity Walks Generate $27,500
South Woods Middle School in Syosset recently raised the incredible sum of $27,500 for The Maurer Foundation, a non-profit organization that seeks to educate women of all ages about methods of breast cancer prevention.

Residents Invited to Join Holiday Run
The run will be conducted under the auspices of the Greater Long Island Running Club, with Mobile Eight Apparel Corporation and its On the Brink sportswear line providing the primary financial support, along with the Huntington-based Grubb & Ellis Realty ("Property Solutions Worldwide"). Registration will take place at Bethpage High School on Cherry Avenue in Bethpage from 7:30 to 9:15 a.m. on the morning of the 19th, and the starting gun for the 5K run will go off promptly at 9:30 a.m. There will also be a 1/4 mile fun run for youngsters 12 and under starting at 8:45 a.m. with awards presented to all competitors.
