  • SPORTS: Ex-Big Leaguer to Field Winter Baseball Team

    Former New York Yankees and Mets pitcher Jack Aker, a Syosset resident, will be holding tryouts for his 10-and-under winter baseball team, which will be playing in a 10-week indoor league in Hauppauge.
