    A strong storm that ripped across Syosset on Friday, June 26 produced powerful gales that barreled and swirled down Evelyn Lane, causing destruction along the street. The most severe damage was inflicted upon the home of the Castins, a family of three who have been temporarily displaced in a nearby apartment while the house is demolished and rebuilt. FULL STORY

  • SPORTS: Republican Club to Throw Bowling Party

    The South Syosset-Woodbury Republican Club is encouraging residents to group into teams of four and join its bowling party at Syosset Lanes on Saturday, August 8 at 8 p.m. The event will feature music, entertainment and prizes. Cost is $30 for adults, and $15 for children 12 and under. Participants will get three games, use of bowling shoes, a dinner consisting of heros and salads, and unlimited coffee, tea and soda.
