Making her pitching debut on Sunday, April 5, Marlins' pitcher Marissa Lieberman made a quick adjustment in her delivery after the first batter and pitched a complete game. Sox' pitcher Alli Dorman also had a complete game, in a losing cause, as the Marlins won 10-4. Each girl pitched a strong game and helped herself with a monstrous home run.

For the second day in a row, the Marlins turned two double plays, and played great defense led by Michelle Murphy and Amy Chodosh at first base. Stephanie Palaganas also sparkled at first base for the Sox. The Marlins' hitting attack was led by Alli Gershin's three hits and two each for Chodosh and Lieberman. Also getting hits for the Marlins were Murphy, Alli Meyers, Beth Schwartz, Lindsay Stearn, Carly Berger and Sari Frank, with Marissa Kabas and Alex Tepper also contributing.
