The Incorporated Villages Association (IVA) invites all residents of Brookville, Jericho, Muttontown, and Old Westbury to bring family and friends to the free, fun-filled Tennis Free-For-All on the tennis courts of the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville, on Sunday, May 17.
"It's terrific that the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and the C.W. Post Campus have joined forces with the Incorporated Villages Association (IVA) to sponsor this USA Tennis Free-For-All for our school district community," said Deborah Paley, IVA board member. "Not only will community residents have a chance to play tennis in a convenient location, but everyone will reap the benefits of healthy exercise through tennis in this beautiful local setting."
Highlights of this free tennis carnival include on-court activities for all levels of play, from beginners to experienced players. Everyone is invited to try, learn and play tennis. This is an opportunity to enjoy tennis-related fun for the entire family.
At each session, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., visitors to this free fair will be able to get on the tennis courts. Rackets and balls will be supplied, or you may bring your own. There are a number of prizes to be won as well. Just remember to wear your sneakers.
Volunteers with or without experience are needed to perform community service and help out with the Tennis Free For All on Sunday, May 17. Please call 626-2337 for Debbie Regan or 626-0014 for Dorothy Kobak, to volunteer. Leave a message including your name and telephone number.
