William F. Schrimpe, 84, formerly of Woodbury, died on Feb. 4, 1998. Former member of the Plainview Fire Dept. Husband of the late Emma. Father of Ruth L. Maag, Frederick J. and the late William C. Grandfather of six. Great-grandfather of four. Brother of Louise Von Spreckelsen and Rose Appelmann. Arrangements were made by the Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, Northport. Religious service with Rev. Ronald W. Wickey officiating. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park. Donations can be made, in William Schrimpe's memory, to the Fireman's Home, Harry Howard Ave., Hudson, NY 12534. Rose Mayer, 96, of Woodbury formerly of Plainview, died on Feb. 2,1998. She was born in the Bronx where she was an art student. Mother of Kate Saul of Plainview and Babette Aronson. Mother-in-law of Sol Saul. Grandmother of seven. Great-grandmother of two.
