Roslyn High School senior Matt Goldberg will be attending Franklin and Marshall College to play college lacrosse next year.
Matt is a four-year varsity lacrosse player who has developed into one of the premier players in the county, and was named to the All-Conference lacrosse team last year. He has played midfield and attack for Roslyn, has taken face-offs and been on the extra man offense, and has the athletic ability to play any position on the field.
The past two years Matt has proven why he is such a good lacrosse player by playing through all four seasons of the year with hard work and determination. In addition, he has been on the boys’ varsity basketball team for the past two years, including last year’s Nassau County Championship team. Matt has also played varsity golf and varsity football.
Coach Jesse Sorensen calls Matt a born leader on and off the field. His teammates, coaches and family attended a special ceremony on March 5 in recognition of Matt’s achievements and to congratulate him and wish him well on his future at Franklin and Marshall.
