Roslyn resident Max Siegelman, the Oneonta State senior goalkeeper, recently captured a pair of honors after leading the Red Dragons to an unbeaten record last week.
The veteran net minder was selected as the Player of the Week in the SUNYAC and then was selected as the ECAC Division III Upstate Defensive Player of the Week.
Siegelman turned in a pair of stellar performances last week in leading the Red Dragons to an unbeaten week that included a game with the number one team in last week’s NSCAA Coaches poll.
In a recent contest, Siegelman made two saves in a shutout win against Rensselaer, who was ranked number 7 in the East Region in last week’s poll.
Siegelman followed that performance last Friday versus top ranked Christopher Newport with a six save effort that included three game-saving stops during the two overtime periods to preserve a 1-1 tie for the Red Dragons.
Siegelman is currently 3-1-1 overall with a 1.06 GAA and three shut outs.
