Antiques Fair Returns To Roslyn

The Roslyn Antiques Fair is back. On Sunday, May 23 (raindate is Monday, May 31) from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., this established event resumes its place on the Long Island Antiques Fair circuit. This will be the 27th such fair in downtown Roslyn.

Sponsored by the Roslyn Landmark Society, more than 50 exhibitors will turn Roslyn into an antique neighborhood. Starting at the landmark Roslyn Clock Tower and continuing down a half mile on Main Street to Old Northern Boulevard, this show will display an eclectic quantity of merchandise, at a range of prices, making it an excellent buying opportunity for decorators, designers, newbies and dedicated collectors in a wonderful setting.

“Extensive road construction had this show on hold. Elias Pekale Shows and the Town of Roslyn have a long-standing relationship,” said Sheila Pekale, referring to the Roslyn Viaduct construction. “We’re excited to continue producing the show. More than ever, in shopping antique shows, the customer wants to feel they’re getting a fair buy for their money. We recognize that - it’s in keeping with our business philosophy, ‘Quality Antiques at Affordable Cost.’ We’ve gathered dealers that give variety and first rate merchandise without sacrificing value.”

Some dealers include Mary Rose of Guildford, CT - 19th and 20th century furnishings; Janice Petrovich - cottage antiques and garden decor; The Village Green of Port Washington - Kitchen collectibles and Depression china; Yosha Graphics - Belle Epoch mid-century French prints; Susan Poole - vintage and fine linen; Dolls by Laurie; and The Town Peddler of New Rochelle - vintage clothing and accessories.

Other exhibitors will feature Roseville and other American pottery, Limoges, antique purses and European evening bags, art glass, sterling, Gentlemen sporting items, toys, sterling and much more.

In addition, tours of historic Roslyn will be offered during the fair. Streets will be closed to traffic.

A special thank you also goes to Sterling Glen of Roslyn for their sponsorship for this event.
