Roslyn High School 2012 seniors are still smiling from pleasant memories of their senior party, held last Thursday, May 31, in their school gymnasium.
The theme, “There’s An App for That,” remained a secret both from students and the community until the night of the party. Following tradition, a large committee of dedicated parents spent the entire school year creating an atmosphere of decorations to interpret the theme, and transformed the school gym into a Broadway-type setting.
The seniors enjoyed a night filled with music provided by Marcus of More than Music, games and giveaways provided by Eric of Creative Games. They enjoyed delicious food and spent the night celebrating with their classmates. Seniors received a commemorative picture frame with their individual toddler photos, senior party T0-shirts, CDs and Crispy Cakes provided by The Crispery, and much more.
No project of this size can be done without an army of people giving their all; we would be remiss if we didn’t say thanks.
First and foremost to the parents who gave up so much of their time to make this happen.
The second thank you goes to the Roslyn School District for allowing this marvelous tradition to continue. Special thanks go to the members of the warehouse and school maintenance crews.
And last but by no means least, the organizers want to thank the following establishments for their donations. Without their support, this just would not happen. They include: Abeetza Pizza, Andel’s Deli, Angelina’s Pizzeria, Attilio’s Pizzeria, Ellen and Uri Bach, Bagel Boss, Bar Frites, Ben’s Deli, Bernard’s, BJ’s, Bobo’s Kitchen, Bryant & Cooper Steakhouse, Joseph Carfi, MD, Cartridge World, Clearview Roslyn Cinemas, Centro Cucina, Chicken Kebab, Colbeh, Costco, Heidi Daneshvar, Delicacies, Diane’s Bakery, Eddie’s Pizza, Jodi Faden, Frank’s Beverage, Friday’s, Gino’s Pizza, Grace’s, Grassroots, Happy Farms, Holiday Farms, Homura, Hot Bagels, Hummus World, Hunan Taste, Jade King, Joanne’s Gourmet, Jolly Fisherman, Kiraku, Kitchen Kabaret, Kotobuki, La Parma, Landmark Diner, Lazars, Bert Lefcort, Renee Lefland, Leonetti, Lontza Pizza, Matteo’s, Pam Menowitz, Messina Market, Mim’s, Mitch and Toni’s, Moe’s Southwest Grill, MP Taverna, North Shore Farms, Olive Market, Parkway Deli, Pathmark, Pearl East, Liz Peck, Piccolo Bussola, Pirandello, Prime Burger, Prime Time Butcher, Grace Porti, Richard and Leslye Radutsky, Ralph’s Ices, Roslyn Fire House, Roslyn Kosher, Sakaya, Shish Kebob, Temple Sinai, The Bakery, The Crispery, The Meat House, 388 American, Toku, Vincent’s, Waldbaum’s, Howie Weinstein, Erika & Allen Weisberg, Whole Foods and Willie Parkers.
