Continuing the family tradition, Daniela has already made her mark on the world stage, playing with orchestras not only in the U.S., but also in Mexico, Krygyzstan, Spain and Germany.
This year alone, Daniela has performed Mozart concertos with the Aguascalientes Philharmonic and the Jalisco Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in Guadalajara, Mexico and in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan with the Kremlin Rachmaninov Philharmonic Orchestra, which traveled in from Russia. In Kyrgyzstan, Daniela performed as a soloist, where she gave a remarkable performance playing with the conductor, Anatoly Zatin. She was also a featured soloist at the Jalisco performance.
In addition, Daniela has competed in piano competitions in Spain, Mexico and San Jose, CA where despite intense competition, she has won first-place prizes, including the gold medal in the Young Musicians Category in the Russian Music International Piano Competition that took place on June 2 in San Jose. There, Daniela competed against 120 other piano students in four different age categories.
Currently, Daniela is in Berlin, Germany where she was chosen by Lang Lang, the internationally famous pianist, to perform Brahms and Schubert with him and other young pianists at the O2 World indoor arena.
The Liebman family has lived in Roslyn for over 50 years. Daniela’s grandfather, Dr. Arthur Liebman, taught English for many years at Roslyn High School. Her grandmother, Joyce Ann is, as noted, an accomplished pianist who has performed in many concerts throughout Long Island and New York State as a featured pianist and music director of the Connoisseur Chamber Ensemble, whose members include those with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
In traveling the world, Daniela is also following in her father’s path, in some cases, literally so. Rob Liebman has performed with the Long Island Youth Orchestra as a concert master in Europe, South America, India, Sri Lanka and Israel, among other destinations.
The international stage is not the only place where Daniela spreads her musical talent. On YouTube, viewers can hear her as she performs Liszt, Mozart, Chopin, Slonimsky, Greig and other masters in solo performances. The international press has also taken notice of Daniela’s many stunning performances, as she is profiled in glowing terms wherever she plays.
