A new service is now offering commuters with a different way to traveling into Manhattan each morning.
The Long Island Transit Bus Company (LIT) is operating each day out of both Glen Cove and Roslyn.
In Roslyn, the LIT transports commuters from Christopher Morley Park into the city, with returns routes also available.
On weekday mornings, the LIT arrives at Christopher Morley for Wall Street area destinations at 6:20 a.m., 6:50 a.m., 7:25 a.m., and 8:05 a.m.
The Wall Street stops include one at Second Avenue at 34th St., before heading downtown to Water and John Street, Water Street and Hanover Square, Water Street and Broad Street, State Street and Bridge Street, and the World Financial Center at South End Avenue and Albany Street.
For those commuters traveling to Midtown, the LIT arrives at Christopher Morley at similar hours: 6:35 a.m., 7:10 a.m., 7:50 a.m., and 8:30 a.m.
Midtown destinations include East 34th St. at Third Avenue, East 34th St. and Madison Avenue, Sixth Avenue and East 35th St., Sixth Avenue and East 42nd St., Sixth Avenue and East 50th St., East 57th St. and Sixth Avenue, East 57th St. and Fifth Avenue, and East 57th St. and Lexington Avenue.
For the return ride home, buses arrive at those same Wall Street destinations on a continual basis from 4:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. They arrive at Christopher Morley between 6:10 and 8:05 p.m. The Midtown route to Long Island begins at 4:44 p.m. and ends at 7:00 p.m. Those buses make it to Christopher Morley between 6:15 p.m. and 8:10 p.m.
