The Sid Jacobson JCC of Roslyn has recently purchased the Robin Hood Day Camp in Brookville. Camp Jacobson at Robin Hood has now invited A Class Act NY, Manhattan's award-winning acting studio for kids and teens, to put on a full-scale production of High School Musical that will be performed for the entire camp as well as friends and family.
Campers will be in for a treat- an accomplished Broadway actor will helm the ship as director. Kids who have participated in A Class Act NY's theatrical productions leave their programs with wonderful memories that they will treasure forever. To register for camp, call Ira Gordon of the JCC at 484-1545.
A Class Act NY will also be back at the JCC on Monday, February 16, Presidents Day, for a One Day Wicked Workshop. On Wednesday, campers see a Broadway matinee and are treated to a Talk Back with actors after the show. At the end of the week, campers perform a final showcase for family and friends at the JCC's 200-seat state of the art theatre.
Camp ACA_ is also for students ages 7-16. It, too, takes place at the Sid Jacobson JCC. Cost is $695 for members/$770 for non-members.
