I live in Roslyn Heights and my 4-year-old is in school in our town. I found out this week that there is a plan to build nine cell phone antennas on top of Sun Harbor Nursing Home, located at 255 Warner Avenue (adjacent to Growing Tree Nursery School and yards from Heights Kindergarten and Elementary School).
Sun Harbor Nursing Home will generate income for themselves and blight our neighborhood at our expense. They need special permission from the Village of Roslyn Board of Trustees. The last public hearing is Thursday, Dec. 18. Written appeals, such as petitions, will only be reviewed up to two weeks before the Dec. 18 Public Hearing.
If you want to help, you can email me; you don't have to be an owner of a house or an apartment. As long as you are a Roslyn resident and are concerned, your voice matters. If you know anything that you think can help my effort to stop Omnipoint from building antennas here or/and if you would like to add your name to the petition (many also mention their address or a special note such as "my kid goes to school right nearby," "I read the latest study recently that shows significant health damage due to exposure within 1.2 miles"), you are welcome to email me at roslynhgtsowner@gmail.com
