Perennial bestselling author and Long Island resident Nelson DeMille has published The Gate House, the long-awaited follow-up to his classic novel, The Gold Coast.

And on Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Old Westbury Gardens will host an appearance by the author in the Red Ballroom, all as part of its Books in the Ballroom Series.

The evening, which will include hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, will feature a talk by DeMille, and a question and answer session, followed by a book signing. Hardcover copies of The Gate House, and trade paperback editions of The Gold Coast, will be available for purchase.
