The Wheatley School has announced that 26 student-athletes have been recognized by Section VIII-Nassau County Interscholastic Athletic Association for their exceptional performance in athletics, scholarship and leadership qualities for the Fall 2008 season. These student-athletes will be honored for their selection at an awards presentation that will be held at the Wheatley School on Nov. 19.

The award winners for Girls Soccer are: All-County - Molly Bruh; All-Class - Jenny Butwin and Danielle Loguercio; All-Conference - Nicole Kashine; and Team Sportsmanship Award Winner.

The award winners for Boys Soccer are: All-County Billy Wasserman; All-County Honorable Mention Jesse Reich; All-Conference - Daniel Rogers, Taiei Chiba, Michael Merlo and Joey Mazzola and Team Sportsmanship Award Winner.

The award winners for Girls Tennis are: All-Conference - Jennifer Gregory and Emily Gregory; All-Division - Bari Giller, Layne Goldman, Jackie Schwartz and Neeta Jadonath.

The award winners for Girls Cross Country are: All-Conference - Michelle Chin; All-Division - Mariel Halpern; and Class All-County - Michelle Chin and Mariel Halpern.

The award winners for Boys Cross Country are: All-Division - Stefan Schwarz, Adam Shalit and Greg Carlin; and Class All-County - Stefan Schwarz.

The award winners for Girls Field Hockey are: All-Conference - Sheena Capito; All League - Jill Hsia; Unsung Hero - Jessica April; Exceptional Senior - Sunny Kim; and Exceptional Senior - Cathy Cao.
