Annual Event Scheduled for Nov. 16

On Sunday, Nov. 16, the Mineola Mustang Run/Walk will be held at Mineola Middle School, located at Emory Road in Mineola. The one-mile run/walk will be held at 9 a.m. and the 5K run/walk will be held at 10 a.m. The event will be held rain or shine.

Volunteers will be needed for the safety of the children and adult runners and walkers. Volunteers should report to Mineola Middle School by 8 a.m. Contact Linda Fairgrieve at 294-5914 or email lfairgri@optonline.net

Applications for the run and walk can be obtained by contacting Linda.

The funds from this year's event will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, Mineola Athletic Association, Mineola Police Athletic League, Mineola Auxiliary Police, Mineola Fire Department for life-saving equipment, Mineola Historical Society, Mineola Youth and Family Services, the Cancer Center for Kids at Winthrop-University Hospital, Parent and Child Education Program, Inc. (PACE) and the Mineola Junior Fire Department.
