Lowe's Stores have announced its intent to open a megastore at the old Pall Corp. property on Northern Boulevard. Lowe's has applied to the Village of East Hills for a change of use of the Pall property from light industrial to business. Representatives from Lowe's are meeting with the presidents and residents of every civic association in the village to discuss their proposal. The representatives have already met with residents of the Country Estates Civic Association.

On Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. the Norgate, Red Ground, and Strathmore civic associations have invited its residents to a presentation by the Lowe's representatives to be held at the Village Hall on Harbor Hill Road.

The Lowe's representatives will be answering questions about traffic patterns near the JCC, on Northern Boulevard and Village of East Hills streets. There will also be discussion about hours of operation, noise, air pollution, and the size of the building. Village residents are encouraged to attend the meeting. The meeting is open to all residents of the Village of East Hills. "For additional information, please contact your civic association president," said Carmen Krauss, president of the Red Ground Civic Association at East Hills.
