Great Neck resident Barbara Mandell has, once again, been honored for her dedication to the tennis group that bears her name.
The event was held on Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Fish-Kebab restaurant in Port Washington.
Tennis group members honored Ms. Mandell for, as they termed it, the "remarkable and extraordinary" work she has done for the group.
In addition, members claimed Ms. Mandell has "fulfilled the needs in her untiring role as organizer and planner of games for the cast of tennis players" while also being the "pulse" of the club.
"Her popularity is renowned, proven by the number of the new members who have joined this year," the testimony also stated. "The growing attendance and interest is a credit and tribute to her. Barbara's execution of her job has been paramount with her tennis buddies, whose respect for her has been heightened, knowing they have benefited by her capability and competence."
Over 20 Roslyn residents were in attendance, including Hank and Marion Deutsch, Paul and Lyn Burros, and Judy Seltz.
