The Roslyn Homecoming celebration, which took place on Saturday, Sept. 20, was another resounding success.
The weekend began with a spirited Friday afternoon pep rally at the East Hills School.
On Saturday morning, the Roslyn High School Marching Bulldogs set the pace for the day by leading the Homecoming Parade from Roslyn High School through Main Street to the Bryant Library.
Other events included members of Roslyn High School's Athletes Helping Athletes volunteering their time during the Homecoming celebration.
The Marching Bulldogs continued to provide top-notch entertainment. They awed the spectators at the Homecoming halftime show with their new routine, Zarabanda. In the evening, they competed at Copiague High School at the New York State Field Band Conference. Their performance was outstanding and they received Second Place in their class.
Topping off the weekend was a terrific performance by the Roslyn varsity football squad. In one of their best games in years, the Bulldogs easily defeated Valley Stream Central, 34-0.
Following the momentum of the successful Homecoming, the Roslyn Bulldogs Boosters will be sponsoring a Friday Night Lights varsity boys football game tomorrow night.
The game, which begins at 7:00 p.m. and is against Jericho High School, will take place at the new Roslyn High School field.
