Sid Jacobson JCC and Robin Hood Country Day School recently announced that they are in contract for Sid Jacobson JCC to purchase and operate Robin Hood Country Day School in Brookville. According to Sid Jacobson officials, it is their intent to maintain the excellence and best practices of the programs at both facilities and to continue to operate these outstanding programs as they are at this time. The strong leadership from both organizations, JCC officials added, will create a seamless transition.
"The philosophy of Robin Hood Country Day School is very similar to that of Sid Jacobson JCC," said Susan Bender, the JCC's Executive Director. "We both believe in providing quality and recognized methods in the programs we provide to the children, families and individuals we serve. We look forward to working with them and their team as we move forward."
Owner/Directors, Laurie Roberts Karol and Kathie Roberts Lieberman, will remain, along with many of Robin Hood's staff, and the plan to continue the tradition of excellence. The Robin Hood Country Day School has been owned and operated by the Roberts Family for the past 51 years. It serves boys and girls living in Queens and Nassau counties with a nursery school and a summer camp. The property is located on 15 wooded acres in Brookville. Working with a staff of qualified professionals, Robin Hood offers many unique programs.
"The goal of our nursery school is to meet a child's needs emotionally, intellectually and socially and to enhance the child's self-image," the Roberts family stated. "Our camp provides children a relaxed summer, free of stress that confronts them during the regular school year. Based upon our years of knowing and working with Sid Jacobson JCC, we are confident that they will continue this tradition."
