The Long Island Academy of the National Premier Soccer League

is pleased to announce that 20-year-old midfielder David Leon has returned

for the 2008 season.

The Williston Park resident and his twin brother Andrew both attend George Washington University.

Dave was a star throughout his youth soccer career, playing for the

Albertson Academy '89, coached by Paul Riley, the Long Island Academy's

Director of Football, as well as the Long Island Junior Soccer League

Olympic Development Program, Long Island Rough Riders Y-League team and Herricks High School.

With the Albertson Academy '89, Dave served as team captain as the squad was crowned national champions of the Disney Super Clubs in addition to being Northeast Regional Premier League champions and Potomac Memorial Day Tournament champs.

Dave also served as captain for Herricks High School and they were league champions in 2004. He was named All-State, All-County, All-Conference and received the Richard Daoust Scholar-Athlete Scholarship Award.
