At the Dec. 18 board of trustees meeting, Mayor John Durkin and members of the board of trustees presented George C. Soos with a Proclamation in recognition of his outstanding service and dedication to the Incorporated Village of Roslyn.

The proclamation expressed the Village's wish for George to enjoy a healthy, happy and prosperous retirement with many opportunities to visit friends and family and further proclaimed Jan. 11, 2008 as George Charles Soos Day in Roslyn.
