The Village of Roslyn Board of Trustees has passed amendments to its municipal code, ones that will designate the Roslyn Pines and Marchant Park neighborhoods as low-density residential entities.

The Mineola Chiefs 8-year-old team defeated Hempstead 13-6 in a hard-fought game last week. Hempstead jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead on a long touchdown run on their first possession, but Mineola answered by methodically driving the ball down the field to tie the score 6-6 on an 8-yard bootleg by quarterback Andrew Sluka.
