The Roslyn area keeps producing filmmakers. The latest is Daniel Schechter. Born and raised in Roslyn, Schechter graduated from Roslyn High School in 2000. Everyone made a difference on August 13 at the Girl Scouts of Nassau County's 23rd annual "Go for the Green" Golf Classic. The outing, held at the Mill River Club in Upper Brookville raised more than $100,000 making it possible for the more than 22,000 Girl Scouts in Nassau County to experience the fun of Girl Scouting.
