On Thursday, May 3 at 7 p.m., Roslyn High School's Film Society will open its doors to the community for the first time for its first Student Film Festival. Allison Heimler of East Hills raised more than $3,000 for the Lung Cancer Alliance at her Hearts of Gold Skate-a-Thon on April 27 at Ice Works in Syosset. The event was dedicated to her uncle Richard Heimler who is a lung cancer survivor. FULL STORY
