The rivalry continued with first meet of the season between the Sid Jacobson JCC Barracuda's and the Mid-Island JCC Dolphins.

It is always fun to swim against a local team where neighbors and fellow schoolmates get the opportunity to compete against each other.

Some of the highlights for the Barracuda's at this meet were: the boys 11-17, 200-yard medley relay where Brian Gaffney swam a tremendous third and pulled the team to first place; the boys 10 and under 200 yard freestyle where Casey Acklin and Adam Struhl took first and second place in a neck and neck finish, and the boys 11-12, 50-yard freestyle where the Barracudas dominated with Greg Rosenthal in first, Jake Swartz in second and Andrew Brooks in third place.

While the Dolphins ultimately out-swam the Barracudas this go around, both teams are looking forward to their next meet.
