The Fourth Squad reports the details of two arrests for Criminal Mischief made on Dec. 18 at 8:45 p.m. in Island Park.
According to detectives, between 8 and 10 p.m. on Dec. 18, while alternately traveling in and operating a 1997 Oldsmobile Achieva, through residential streets in Island Park/Harbor Isle, defendants David Moskovitz, of Roslyn and Jared Corbett, of Franklin Square, along with another male and a female not yet arrested, did use replica swords to puncture the victims' inflatable holiday lawn decorations, including two on Warwick Boulevard and one on Waterford Road, Island Park. A homeowner/victim observed the subjects fleeing in the Oldsmobile from Warwick Road and gave chase, police said. The defendants were apprehended on Austin Boulevard, North Long Beach, after their car sustained a flat tire and they pulled into a gas station at that location. Two other occupants of the vehicle, not yet arrested, fled on foot, police added.
Moskovitz and Corbett are each charged with two counts of Criminal Mischief 4th Degree. They were released on appearance tickets returnable to First District Court, on Jan. 3, 2007.
