In their final regular season game, the Mineola PAL Chiefs Maroon Team played at home and beat the Hicksville Crusaders 13-6. With the victory the Chiefs finished the season with a record of 5-2-1.

The Chiefs were able to move the ball on offense, because of solid blocking by the offensive line centered by Matthew Lafaye and anchored by Tom O'Dwyer, Danny Gonzalez, Kevin Klimas, Brendan Sullivan and Eric McCloskey. The line gave time so quarterback Justin Johnson could work his magic leading the offense with running backs Anthony Preston, Michael Elefonte and TJ Kemmet.

Scoring is summarized below:

Justin Johnson: 46-yard touchdown run

Michael Elefonte: 28-yard touchdown run

Anthony Preston: extra point run

The Chiefs defense held strong against the Crusader offense. The defensive line kept the pressure on led by John Clancy, Nicky Reda, Peter McCormack and Antonio Prunella. The linebackers were on a mission as they attacked the ball carriers, led by Johnson, Kemmet, Elefonte and Brian Greenberg. Other boys working hard on defensive unit were Vinny Napolitano, Austin Certa and Chris Asam.
