The Roslyn Chamber of Commerce, the Roslyn Landmarks Society and the Roslyn Preservation Corporation are coordinating a streetscape project presently underway in the Village of Roslyn.

Where the project will take place.
Designed to enhance the area between the Long Island Junior League and the post office and to provide comfortable seating for patrons of downtown businesses, the scheme calls for new brick paving, a decorative wooden fence to screen the parking lot to the north, year-round plantings and foliage including three London plane trees, and two teak benches that are already in place.

Although some landscaping will have to wait until spring, Landmark Society officials said the rest of the project would be completed within the next three weeks.
