Hobart senior Ronny Koenig of Roslyn was named the Liberty League Men's Tennis Performer of the Week this afternoon.

Koenig won his first match of the season, defeating Division II Mercyhurst's Alfredo Mortensen in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, at third singles. Playing mostly at No. 4 and No. 5, Koenig was 5-9 in singles play last season and is 7-12 in his career.

The Division III Statesmen lost the match to the Lakers 7-2. Hobart (0-1) is back in action on Sept. 16 and Sept. 17 in the Flower City Tournament in Rochester.
