Over 250 guests attended Sid Jacobson JCC's 21st Annual Golf and Tennis Outing on Monday, August 7 at Old Westbury Golf & Country Club.
This is the third year the outing was presented by Sterling & Sterling, Inc. Insurance Platinum Client Group. One of the oldest Golf & Tennis events on Long Island, this outing has raised millions of dollars for the JCC.
This year's event honored Drs. Marleen and Eric Donnenfeld for their philanthropic efforts on behalf of the JCC and awarded Alice and Russell Artzt with the Tikkun Olam Award for their humanitarian efforts throughout Long Island.
Dr. Eric Donnenfeld has been a member of the Board of Directors of Sid Jacobson JCC for over a decade and is currently a vice president. Dr. Marleen Donnenfeld has been active in the Women's Division of the JCC and is also a member of its Board of Directors.
The outing began with registration and a lavish brunch. Golfers took to the tees for an 11 a.m "shotgun" and participated in various contests throughout the day including "Beat the Pro" and a "Hole in One" contest.
For tennis enthusiasts, there were tennis drills taught by tennis pros followed by a pro-am tournament. After a beautiful sun-filled day of friendly competition, guests enjoyed a sophisticated cocktail hour and awards dinner followed by selection of raffle prizes.
The Grand Prizes were a $5,000 gift certificate courtesy of Bradford Photography and a New York City Package courtesy of Macy's, Chambers Hotel and Fresco by Scotto Restaurant.
The Sid Jacobson JCC would like to thank its many sponsors, raffle prize donors, underwriters, participants and volunteers who made the 21st Annual Golf and Tennis Outing a successful event.
