The Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church of Roslyn is one of the member communities that have helped celebrate the conclusion of the10th year of a GOYA Volleyball League in the District Metropolis of New York.

The League has over 200 players in their program with 24 teams from 12 Greek Orthodox communities.

The Leagues' success with these teenagers can easily be attributed to the volunteering efforts of over 1,000 individuals over the last decade.

The Archangel Michael community had the following four All-Star players representing their boys & girls teams in 2006. Boys All Stars were Chris Marangoudakis and Dean Marangoudakis, while Roslyn youth on the Girls All Star squad were Ariadne Tzoumas and Arlene Pappas.
