She was a graduate of St. Catherine's Hospital of Nursing and St. John's University. She was a registered nurse for over 50 years. She was past president of Kings County Women's Auxiliary to the Medical Society and past parliamentarian to the Women's Auxiliary for the NYS Medical Society. Wife of the late Dr. Joseph Fontanetta. Mother of Dr. Eileen Fontanetta and son-in-law Dr. John Amodio. Grandmother of Kristen and Daniel Amodio. Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins, Marian and George Norton.
