To help celebrate this exciting event, World Class jockeys, sporting their authentic racing attire, will be visiting with the families at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island on June 8 at 10:30 a.m.

For nearly 10 years, jockeys have taken a detour from the track to bring smiles and laughter to youngsters and their families, during a busy time in their lives. The visit makes a world of difference to families whose children are undergoing serious medical treatment at the hospital. In addition to hosting pony rides and meeting families, jockeys and children will enjoy a continental breakfast at the event.

"It's truly wonderful to see how a visit like this can bring such joy to the lives of children and parents alike," said Silvana LaFerlita Gullo, executive director at the House. "We are extremely grateful to the jockeys for their devotion to McDonald House through the years and for the excitement they bring to the children!"
