The Village of Roslyn Estates, a unique community in a picturesque, natural setting, is celebrating its 75th Anniversary with exciting and fun "happenings," starting Sunday, June 4.
Events that day, for Roslyn Estates residents only, include a 9 a.m. Fun Run/Walk, followed by a Bagel Breakfast open to all village residents in addition to the runners/walkers; a Children's Carnival with lots of activities, including arts and crafts, face painting, a magician and more; plus a complementary launch from Antonio's.
Also planned is an exhibition of work by resident artists, including painting, sculpture and photography and historical photographs, taking place at the Village Hall, 25 The Tulips, from June 4 to 7.
The celebration will culminate on Wednesday, June 7, with a dinner-dance open to both residents and non-residents, at George Washington Manor, from 7 to 11 p.m. (For ticket information, please call 621-3541.)
Many residents have volunteered to help plan all the activities, but special thanks go to longtime Village Historian Ruth Hinrichs, "chief architect" of the 75th Anniversary Celebration, for all her time and energy spent in organizing this event.
