Sid Jacobson JCC is hosting a Basketball Extravaganza for children and adults with special needs on June 4 from 4 to 6 p.m.

The Harlem Wizards will perform an amazing show with tricks, hoops and alley-oops. Presented by the Bernie Zises Fund at the JCC in partnership with the Adults and Children with Learning and Development Disabilities (ACLD) and Roslyn Booster Basketball, this basketball clinic promises to be exciting and fun.

After the show, participants will learn the skills of the game in age-appropriate groups. Led by special education professionals and expert coaches, these competitive and not-competitive basketball activities help increase coordination and improve self-esteem.

For information about the JCC program, please contact Tim Flynn, sports director at 484-1545, ext. 179 or email tflynn@jcca.org, or Jeremy Melnick, special services director, at 484-1545, ext. 175 or email jmelnick@jcca.org.
