On June 6, I have the honor and pleasure of (believe it or not) serving time behind bars for "Jerry's Kids" to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. I need the public's help to raise the "dough" to bail me out of jail.
I'd like to include local residents on my list of contributors who are helping me raise my "bail" of $1,200, which sends two kids to MDA Summer Camp in Spring Valley, NY. Donations due by May 19 would help MDA continue the fight against Muscular Dystrophy.
The Nassau County/Tri-Borough Chapter serves local families affected with neuromuscular disease by providing assistance with the purchase/repair of wheelchairs and braces, area support groups, a special camp for "Jerry's Kids" each summer, and clinics at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, NYU-Rusk Institute in Manhattan and Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow. MDA also funds research grants to help find the causes and cures for over 43 neuromuscular diseases that affect people of all ages.
Please take this opportunity to support MDA. For any questions, don't hesitate to call me at 626-2273. On behalf of the families which MDA serves, thank you.
