Over 250 people filled the Long Island Bar Association to raise money for new athletic fields in Roslyn. The mood was festive as neighbors and friends greeted each other during cocktails. After many months of discord since the Roslyn scandal, it was refreshing to be involved in a neighborhood event raising money to be put back into its schools.

The success, thrills and first-rate competition of the Fall 2005 mayor's softball tournament were recalled at a recent board of trustee's meeting where the champions received official proclamations and an abundance of praise.
