For the third consecutive year, Allison Heimler of East Hills has been selected by the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) to represent the United States as a member of Team USA in an international figure skating competition. Allison will compete at the Junior Ladies level in the Gletscher Cup 2005 figure skating competition to be held March 18 and 19 in Grindelwald, Switzerland. Team USA will be competing against skaters from Belgium, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Finland, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, France, Germany, UK, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Russia, Slovenia, Spain and the Ukraine.

Allison is a competitive figure skater and trains daily at Ice Works in Syosset with her coaches Valerie Murray and Linda Lester. Allison also trains at the United States Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, New York during the summer with Olympic and World class coaches.

2005 was a very impressive year for Allison. As previously reported Allison represented the United States as a member of Team USA and the Kempen Trophy 2005 in Turnhout, Belgium where she placed fourth and at the Crystal Ice 2004 international competition in Espoo, Finland. Allison was also honored to be selected as a featured soloist at the 2005 Charter One Christmas Coronation on Ice Summer Show in Lake Placid. Competitively, Allison was a finalist at the 2006 North Atlantic Regional Competition in Lake Placid.

Allison has also performed at the Nassau Coliseum at the invitation of the New York Islanders and at Madison Square Garden at the invitation of the New York Ranger organization during Ranger Kids Day. Allison also participated in the Stars and Stripes charity event for 9/11 at Madison Square Garden with Sasha Cohen, Timothy Goebels and Nancy Kerrigan.
