Heimler to Skate in Belgium for the USA
Building on her impressive figure skating accomplishments, Allison Heimler of East Hills has been selected by the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) to represent the United States at the Kempen Trophy 2005 international skating competition in Turnhout Belgium in January. Allison is one of a select group of skaters to be selected by the USFSA for Team USA. Team USA will be competing against skaters from Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Germany and Finland.

Cross Country Teams Inducted Into Hall of Fame
At the Wheatley School Fall Sports Awards Program on Nov. 23, the coach and team members of the 1967 and 1968 Varsity Cross Country teams were inducted into the Wheatley Hall of Fame. Under the leadership of Coach Irwin August, the Wheatley cross country teams won two consecutive New York State championships, a feat that has not been duplicated by a Wheatley team.
