Public Hearings on Rowhouse Plan
The Village of Roslyn Board of Trustees, Historic District Board, Site Review Board and Planning Board will all be present for a public hearing on Thursday, Nov. 4, beginning at 8 p.m. at the Bryant Library to consider an application by BITI, II, LLC of Jericho to build residential housing in downtown Roslyn.

The US Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency recently presented the Village of Roslyn Estates and 28 other members of the New York Municipal Wind Buyers Group with Green Power Leadership Awards at the national Green Power Partnership Conference in Albany earlier this month.
Charity Hoops for Alzheimer's Care
"The Boroughs vs. The Burbs" is the name of this year's Metro Girls High School Hoops Classic, the action-packed contest when the Long Island All-Stars face off against the New York City All-Stars at SUNY Old Westbury on Saturday, Nov. 6, in a basketball exhibition that will benefit both younger and older people on Long Island and in New York City.
Students Receive Physical Education Honors
The Wheatley School Physical Education Department have announced that Michelle Ritz and Sagar Mehta have been selected as Outstanding Physical Education students. Criteria for their selection were exceptional performance in physical education, scholarship, leadership qualities and service to the Wheatley school community. Michelle and Sagar will be honored for their selection at an awards banquet that will be held at the Crest Hollow Country Club on Wednesday, Dec. 15. The awards program is sponsored by the Nassau Zone of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
