John Joseph Karasinski Sr. died July 14, 2004 at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. He was born June 3, 1915 to John and Agnes Karasinski in Brooklyn. John and his wife, Regina (Jean), were married for 61 years. They had four children, Marion LoRusso who died in 1994, John Karasinski of Orangevale, CA, Kenneth Karasinski of Chico, CA, and Karen Lekashman of Los Gatos, CA. They had nine grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

John Karasinski lived in Roslyn Heights for 44 years. He retired from Fairchild Republic. In 1998 he and his wife moved to Carmichael, CA, where they lived for the past six years. He was proud veteran of WWII and a member of the VFW. He was an avid photographer and will always be remembered for his storytelling.

Services with military honors were held at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park Church of the Valley in Citrus Heights, CA.

Mary F. Ziccardi (nee Cangero), of Greenvale, died on July 27, 2004. Loving and cherished wife of the late Louis. Devoted mother of Ginny, Rosean (David) Grandy and Peggy Limongelli. Dear nana of Merri, Tim, Leigh and Cara. Great-grandmother of Maddie, Katie and Carlie. Arrangements were made by the McLaughlin Kramer Megiel Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Funeral Mass celebrated at the Church of St. Mary. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.
