Golfers will have the chance to win a new powerboat while teeing off against child abuse and neglect at Child Abuse Prevention Services’ (CAPS) 6th Annual Charity Golf Outing at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 9 at the Tam O' Shanter Club in Brookville.

The event, which includes a hole in one contest with the prize of a new powerboat from Fred Chall Marine in Freeport, starts with registration and brunch at 11:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. with cocktails and a buffet dinner at 5:30 p.m.

The cost is $400 per golfer; those seeking to attend only the cocktail party and dinner can do so for $100 per person. All proceeds benefit CAPS. To register or for more information, call CAPS at 516-621-0552.
