Boys' Cross Country

The boys' cross country team finished second to Great Neck North but advanced over Sewanhaka on Tuesday Sept. 23.
* Izeall Cisco had a great race finishing 2nd overall with a personal best time of 18:53
* The following freshman boys are off to an impressive start in the JV competition: Adam Wagner, Alex Czik and Chris Dembia.

The girls' cross-country team had their fist conference meet at Bethpage State Park. They finished second to Great Neck North but advanced over Sewanhaka
* Liza Becker ran a personal best time of 24:02 and finished 2nd overall.
* All girls ran a great race, some opened up the season with personal best times.

The boys' varsity football team had a tough but competitive game against Levittown Division this past Thursday
* Isiah Mitchem had a 78 yard kickoff return to score his second touchdown of the game.

The Roslyn boys' varsity soccer team had a tough game against Wheatley losing 3-0. On Thursday, Sept. 25 the boys traveled to Valley Stream South where they outplayed V.S.S but ended the game in a tie.

The boys' JV soccer team had a great game against Wheatley this past Tuesday, Sept. 23.
* Zack Diamond, Jeremy Einhorn, Brandon Reiner and Matthew Spitz all played well.
The boys played a second game against Valley Steam South was a rollercoaster ride where Valley Stream South advanced at the end
* Kyle Shenfeld, Effie Samuhi and Zack Diamond all scored one goal each during this game.
Girls' V-Soccer

The girls' varsity soccer team dropped a close game to East Rockaway on Monday Sept. 22 by a score of 3-1. They had a tough loss to Jericho on Wednesday 7-0.
As the second half of the season approaches, the girls are working hard to rebound and improve on their first half of the season effort.

The Roslyn girls' JV soccer team continues to prepare for their upcoming games.
Girls' V-Tennis

The girls' varsity tennis team has completed the first half of its season. They won the first six matches and tied one because of darkness (this match will be completed on Oct. 1).
This past week's match against Port Washington was very exciting.
* Danielle Sheeler and Ali Goldstein won the final match 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 with a tie-breaker of 7-3.
This win over Port Washington put Roslyn on top as we enter the second half of the season.

The girls' JV tennis team continues to work hard preparing for this week's upcoming match.
Girls' V-Volleyball

The girls' varsity volleyball team had an incredible run this past week. After starting the season with a 0-3 record the girls went on to win their last three consecutive games. They began this past week with 2 great games beating Bethpage 3-1 and Floral Park 3-1. They ended up the week with a thrilling win over Wantagh outlasting them in the fifth game 26-24.
* Dana Finkelstein, Julie LaSpina and Tiarra Augustine continue to lead the team in all offensive categories.
* Malorie Simons, Kira Cerny and Alex Brown continue to develop as varsity setters.
Girls' JV-Volleyball

The girls' JV volleyball team continues to improve, but had two disappointing losses this past week, to Floral Park and Wantagh. The girls kept their composure and continued playing as a team .
* Lauren Cavaliere did a great job serving.
* Melissa Sterling did a great job setting.
