The legislative session for the New York general assembly ended last week with some good news for local taxpayers. On the final day of the legislative calendar, both the state senate and assembly passed a bill that offers a tax abatement to certain property owners in the Roslyn area. FULL STORY

Rosalia Gioia of Albertson recently participated in the 2003 National Senior Games Summer Olympics held at Hampton Roads, VA. Competing in her age group against representatives from across the country and Canada, she returned home with awards for track and field and tennis.
